Fremantle Freelance is a boutique video production house specialising in environmental and social justice issues. We are driven by the need to make the world a better place.

Working to highlight the climate emergency is a key focus as is working to ensure that real action  is taken to prevent catastrophic ecological collapse.

We use video to tell stories that matter and we make documentary films with social impact.

We also work in print and social media. We offer video production, assistance with social justice and environmental campaigns, social media skills, writing and media liaison.

We work with community campaigns, the not for profit sector and government departments.

We also do small personal stories.

WHO WE ARE?

Our principle is Jane Hammond. Jane is a professional journalist with more than 25 years experience. She is also an internationally award winning documentary filmmaker.

Jane has taught journalism and trained many community groups and individuals in media skills, social media, writing, video, and creating a narrative.

Video production, media liaison, photography,  community organising, campaigning, research, social media, training.

West Timor Care Foundation

Made the film “A Crude Injustice” with the assistance of the West Timor Care Foundation. The film has been used to help raise awareness of the ongoing impact on the people of West Timor of the 2009 Australian Montara oil spill disaster.

Frack free WA

Social media, event organising, community organising, public meetings, training, research, campaign strategy, video production, Production of half hour long film “A Fractured State” which aired on community TV and in town hall meeting around the state and at an International Water Day event in Toronto Canada.

SOUTH WEST AUSTRALIA HOMELESS PEOPLE

Video Production, media advice and support. Produced “The Paddock People” which has been used to raise awareness of the extent of homelessness in WA. A short version of the film “Perth’s Hidden Homeless” was run on The Guardian  Australia’s website.
